Our client is located in Rochester, Indiana. Rochester is the county seat of Fulton County, close to South Bend and Fort Wayne making it a handy place to stay with an affordable cost of living. Notre Dame University is 45 minutes away and Warsaw, the orthopedic capital of the nation, is 30 minutes away. You will find the beautiful Lake Manitou in the city of Rochester, that covers 775 acres and provides recreation, relaxation, and activities such as fishing, boating, waterskiing, swimming, and kayaking. The area also includes Lake Maxinkuckee, the second-largest natural lake in Indiana, as well as Plymouth, and the prestigious Culver Academy.
Practice Overview
Our client is a friendly, fast-paced small animal and exotic animal practice established in 1984. They pride themselves on providing progressive medicine with a compassionate and caring approach. They focus on providing mentorship and collaboration to help their team reach their full potential. Some of the tools they use to save lives include IDEXX Procyte and Catalyst chemistry analyzer, Sedivue urine analyzer, digital x-ray machine, ultrasound, dental x-ray, cold laser therapy, and CO2 surgical laser. What You’ll Be Working On
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of small animal and exotic animal cases
- Perform general wellness exams and surgeries
- Educate clients and team on treatment options and recommendations
- Maintain a positive work environment
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program required
- Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Indiana
- General practice experience – in small animals, pocket pets, or reptiles is preferred
- Highly motivated, with a desire to learn and grow
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated compassion for patients and clients
- Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment
