What You’ll Be Working On
- Build lasting relationships with clients, patients, and the team
- Perform physical examinations and record observations on patients
- Assist the veterinarian in medical, surgical, and dental procedures
- Take diagnostic radiographs
- Provide compassionate specialized nursing care
- Take vital signs, draw blood, and gather medical history
- Calculate and administer drug, medication, and fluid doses as directed by a veterinarian
- Skilled venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
- Properly care and maintain the operating room, surgical materials, and inventory of medical supplies
- Perform laboratory tests to assist in diagnosis and treatment
- Assist with training and directing the veterinary medical team
- Maintain a positive work environment

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- RVT license in the state of California is required
- Knowledgeable of OSHA and some regulatory practices is required
- Standard skills in anesthetic monitoring, IV catheter, and drawing blood
- Dental skills are highly preferred!
- Confident in communicating and educating clients on proper care
- Highly motivated, with a desire to learn and grow
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment
