Our client is located in Leonardtown, Maryland. A small community in the heart of St. Mary’s county. This town is known for its beautiful landscapes, incredible waterways and
heart-warming people. Leonardtown is undergoing a current renaissance of its downtown with the addition of an eclectic mix of shops and a number of world-class restaurants.

Practice Overview
Our client is a small practice that has been serving the local community since 1990. Their modern facility is a state-of-the-art 2 story building that includes 5 exam rooms,
comfort room, isolation room, and an inhouse lab pharmacy. Their practice offers behavioral counseling, wellness, nutritional and weight management, laboratory work,
dermatology, dentistry, surgery, laser therapy and boarding.

What You’ll Be Working On
- Maintain a high level of client communication and patient care
- Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork
- Lead and train technicians, assist in building out the department
- Contribute by delivering high-quality care to our patients
- Engaging and communicating with clients to provide excellence in service
- Primary job functions include surgical prep, post-op care, dentistry, x-rays, and IV catheter placement
- Assist the doctor from start to finish with patient treatments and procedures
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment
Qualifications
- Be Certified as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Maryland
- At least two years of experience working as a certified veterinary technician required
- Small animal experience with dentistry and x-ray is preferred
- Demonstrated passion for patient care, client service, and team development
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently to meet goals and objectives
- Strong commitment to ethics and integrity
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
